Student Presentations:The final class meetings will be devoted to small-group presentations concerning: (i) additional depth and detail about the religious traditions covered in the text and (ii) religious traditions that were not covered in the text. Students will be given considerable latitude in their selection of a appropriate tradition. Barring extraordinary circumstances, small groups should consist of 2-4 students.FormatEach group will be responsible for a presentation of approximately 20 minutes, with an additional 10 minutes available for questions and discussion with the class. Students are encouraged to be creative: presentations should be enjoyable and entertaining as well as informative. All members of the group should participate in the research and presentation in meaningful ways.GradesBased on the following:
Schedule
- Peer Evaluations (40%). All members of the class will be asked to evaluate presentations in terms of (1) interest and (2) content.
- Professorial Evaluation (60% each).
Presentations will be given during the final three class meetings (December 7, December 9, and December 14)..
