For the past thirty years, he has taught at several institutions
including Cornell University, Columbia University, Fordham
University, New York University, State University of New York (at
Binghamton and at Oneonta), City University of New York, and
University of California at Los Angeles. Currently, he is Senior
Research Fellow at the Institute of Global Cultural Studies (IGCS)
at Binghamton University (State University of New York).
Professor Morewedge is the secretary-treasurer of the Society for
the Study of Islamic Philosophy and Science, and editor and
treasurer of Society for Global Africa. He serves on several
scholarly editorial boards and as the editor-in-chief of
Islamic Translation Series, managing editor of the
Journal of Neoplatonic Studies, co-editor of Papers on
Ancient Greek and Islamic Philosophy, and managing editor for
the Oneonta Philosophy Series. He has published several
scholarly articles and books including:

About the Author
Parviz Morewedge received his Ph.D. in philosophy at University of
California at Los Angeles with minors in Near Eastern studies and
mathematics. He began his career as a mathematician for Bendis
Computers and later worked as a logical design engineer for Litton
Industries and as a senior research engineer for General Motors.
