Other Information:

Dr. Legname, composer, conductor and theorist, is a Brazilian of Italian extraction who has taught at State University of São Paulo, University of Maryland, and New York University. He was guest conductor of the UNESP Chamber Ensemble in recordings and concerts, and Assistant Conductor of the New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble.  For almost two decades he has done a research in Physics of Music called Density Degree of Intervals and Chords always applied in his compositions. In this theory, he developed a new way of analyzing the degrees of dissonance of groups of notes. His compositions have been performed in Brazil, United States and Europe.  Dr. Legname currently holds a position of Assistant Professor at State University of New York College at Oneonta where he is the conductor of the orchestra and the Director of the Audio Arts Production program. He recently received the Award for Academic Excellence for the uses of Instructional Technology.
