Mathematics Minor

The minor in Mathematics is open to all undergraduates with the exception of students majoring in Secondary Education Mathematics or Mathematics. After completing the 12 s.h. calculus sequence, students may select their remaining courses from the approved departmental list of courses open to majors in Mathematics. Consult the Chair of the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics in Fitzelle 228 for further information on options and suggested sequences. Students planning to complete requirements for a curriculum minor must make all arrangements with the department chair.

NOTES:

  1. The minor requires completion of the calculus sequence and selections to total no fewer than 18 s.h. of college courses (at least 9 s.h. taken at SUNY Oneonta)
  2. College rules pertaining to curriculum majors also apply to curriculum minors (GPA of at least 2.00 in courses applied toward minor; no PASS/FAIL Option grading in courses applied toward minor; residence requirement, etc.)
