Resources for Instructors

The perennial frustration of instructors is having to grade research papers that do not conform to the stated task guidelines.  Here are some resources that might help you and your students through the research process:

Grading Rubrics

Providing very specific information on how the work will be graded makes life easier for you (fewer questions to answer) and for your students (fewer questions to ask).

Grading rubrics can take a variety of forms:  a checklist of required elements, a narrative contract, a chart showing minimum requirements for each level of achievement.

Try using RUBISTAR to create a rubric for your next assignment.
