Applying to Get a Tutor OR to Be a Tutor

Please
read this page carefully before you go to the application below.
SUNY College at Oneonta's Center for Academic Development and Enrichment (CADE) uses a database program to manage our tutoring information. This confidential database gathers information about all students who want a tutor and matches it with information about our tutors.
When someone applies to get tutoring, the database makes the match if a tutor is available who fulfills the requirements of the tutee. Because a computer makes the match and not a person, all people applying (tutees and tutors), need to be aware of some things:
Our system only works with Internet Explorer 5.0 or above. If you only have a Netscape browser on your computer, please do not try to apply from your computer.
If your username and password don't work when you try to sign in to our system, enter your username in the oneonta\username format. For example, Robert Jones would enter his username as oneonta\jonerw77.
Your confirmations for appointments come through email. No one will contact you unless there is a problem. Check your mail often!
Your schedule is matched beginning with the first slot that both people have available. That leads to way too many people being scheduled at 8:00 a.m. Monday mornings. Please don't leave 8:00 a.m. open if you don't think you'll want to get up to come for tutoring then.
If you get a message in your email that says that you need to call 436-3010 and schedule an intake appointment, you will not get a subject area tutor until you have attended that appointment.
If you're applying to be a tutor, you will not get students to tutor until you have met with our staff and have been officially hired by us. Call 436-3010 for an appointment with Mary Dorn as soon as you finish applying.
If you are matched with a subject tutor immediately, you will meet that person at that same time each week through the end of the semester.
All meetings with tutors MUST be in the Center in Alumni Hall, Room 225.

If you want to get a tutor:
This process should take you approximately 15 minutes to complete. Please do not begin the process if you can't finish it. If the process is not finished, you will not receive a tutor, and we will likely not know that you had applied.
