The Faculty Instructional Support Center

The purpose of the Instructional Support Center(ISC) is to provide faculty with equipment and supplies to duplicate instructional classroom materials on an emergency basis, e.g., those items that cannot be reproduced in the Print Shop in Netzer B-7 due to time constraints.

Because of the nature of the service provided by the ISC, supplies are limited. If you have emergency needs which exceed copy restrictions in the ISC, Mona Hughes, Coordinator of the ISC (x2940) and Clover Bobnick, Supervisor of the Print Shop (x2508) are available to coordinate your printing needs. Limits and Restrictions

Also, please note that the Print Shop provides the best security for duplication of exams and quizzes and faculty are encouraged to have them duplicated there. Please note: Students are not allowed to help with the duplication of quizzes or exams.

Use of the center for copyright infringment is PROHIBITED. It is illegal for anyone to violate any of the rights provided by the copyright law to the owner of copyright.

RISOGRAPHS
The Risograph is useful for quick duplication in large amounts.

There are two located in ISC, and a third in Physical Science 120 (closed from 12-1 for lunch). All three machines follow the same guidelines. Please do not attempt to duplicate masters with large black areas, pictures, intense bolding, or shading. This will cause the machine to jam.

SCANTRONS
There are two machines available for Scantron Test Scoring in ISC. Analysis forms are available in the center, but test forms need to be obtained from your department secretary. Students are NOT allowed to handle test forms. If you need assistance, contact Mona Hughes or Donna Baker (IRC 104).

There is an additional machine available in the Dewey Room, second floor of Milne Library (analysis forms on premises). This machine is available whenever the library is open. If you are not familiar with the use of a Scantron machine, please come to the ISC for training.

COPIERS
There are two copiers available for minor jobs and resizing. They are able to sort as they print and copy two-sided documents. Please ask for assistance if you are unsure how to perform any of these operations. There are very strict limits on these.

COMPUTERS
Several computers are available for faculty use. We have both Macintosh and PCs, and assistance is available.

OTHER SERVICES
Other services provided by the Instructional Support Center

BULLETIN
The Bulletin is the official college newsletter and comes out each Wednesday when classes are in session. To submit items, email your items and attachments to Mona Hughes at hughesml@oneonta.edu. Do not send items or attachments in Publisher. Please use a Word format. Items that come after the Thursday noon deadline will be held over for the next available edition. We adhere to the same deadline before a break week for the next printed edition after a break week.

LAMINATING AND DRY MOUNTING
Only non-dated, multi-use items will be laminated or mounted.
One-time use items will not be accepted due to cost and time constraints.
