The International Student Organization (ISO) hosts an International Coffee Hour in Lee Hall's Center for Multicultural Experiences each Friday at 4:30 PM when classes are in session. This offers the opportunity for students to meet and mingle in a casual atmosphere among themselves and members of the campus and local community.

The ISO has won the Cultures United Test (CUT) with their cultural programs and fashion shows.  Diwali and Chinese New Year are among the festivals celebrated by the ISO and open to the campus and community at large.

The International Education Office sponsors bus trips to New York City every fall at a reduced cost to international students.  Additionally, new students are offered the opportunity to see Niagara Falls during an overnight trip each September or October.

Community members play a large part in welcoming international students to Oneonta.  A corps of volunteers open their homes to students and host dinners, picnics, and barbeques.

The International Lounge in the Hunt College Union displays an international flag collection representing the current enrollment of international students and students studying abroad.
