International Student Orientation |

The Office of International Education provides a special orientation program prior to the fall and spring semesters for new international students. This two-day orientation covers information on registering for classes, health insurance, campus facilities, student identification cards, housing and meal plans, academic advising, maintaining status, working on campus, etc. The orientation also provides opportunities for students to open bank accounts, pay their student fees, do some shopping, and meet and mingle with other new and returning international students. During the orientation, new international students are also tested for reading comprehension, writing, and math to determine their ability in these areas and to place them in classes which will best suit them. ESL is available for students who require extra help. Fall 2008 International Student Orientation Thursday, Friday & Saturday August 21st, 22nd & 23rd New students must arrive in Oneonta no later than Wednesday, August 20th. Orientation begins at 8:30 on Thursday, August 21st.
