Applicants must first be nominated by their home campus’ international office and then complete the Exchange/Visitor Application Form. Students must send the completed application and supporting documents as listed on the application form to SUNY Oneonta OIE (Office of International Education).

If accepted, you will receive an e-mail notification, and the username and password, which will allow you to access your Oneonta account including Oneonta e-mail. Accepted exchange students must also complete the Course Approval Form. To view the courses offered in the semester, you must Search By Term. To find out if there are prerequisite requirements and restrictions of a particular course, click the CRN number of the course, then the course title. Contact us if you have any questions.

Application Fee

Exchange and visiting students pay no application fee but must meet admission standards under the respective exchange program agreement. 

Application Deadline

• Fall semester admission: May 14th
• Spring semester admission: November 16th

Students are encouraged to apply early. Early acceptance allows us to help you secure seats for approved courses.
