Located within walking distance and on the bus line, at the corner of Spruce and Elm Streets in Oneonta, and home to the Catholic Campus Ministry, the Newman House is open to all faiths, all people.
The house is open for meetings, cooking, making friends, discussions, informal gatherings, prayer groups, dinners, study, retreats, quiet time, or just hanging out. International students may bring their friends and cook a meal, watch a video, play pool, or attend one of the casual Newman House suppers followed by game night. This is a great resource center for International Students who want to feel the comforts of home and be warmly welcomed.
Lodging: The Newman House also offers basic, short-term housing in an emergency and during semester breaks or prior to the official move-in date for Res Life. Space is limited so planning early is encouraged.

Membership is not required to use the Newman House but is encouraged in order to be aware of the range of services and social events that the House has to offer and to broaden your network of friends.

The International Student Organization (ISO) is an inclusive campus club that hosts a variety of social events, field trips, and activities on and off campus. Open to American and International students, members pay no dues. ISO is host to the Weekly Coffee Hour at the Center for Multicultural Experiences (CME) in Lee Hall and is open to faculty, staff, students, the community. The coffee hour provides an excellent opportunity for international students to socialize with Americans and keep up-to-date on campus news, meet guest speakers, and experience an exchange of cultures and customs.
