Location and Demographics
ACG was founded in 1875 and is located in the beautiful Athens suburb of Aghia Paraskevi on a hill overlooking Greece’s historic capital city. Downtown Athens is easily accessible from ACG with public transportation. The student body at ACG is 90% Greek, which provides students the opportunity to have a cultural immersion experience. ACG is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges in the U.S.


The Campus
ACG has a total of 3,000 graduate and undergraduate students, and 350 international students from 50 countries study at ACG each year.

Academics: Semester and Academic Year

All classes at ACG are taught in English, and students can choose from a comprehensive list of courses in the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences, School of Business, and School of Fine and Performing Arts.

Academics: Summer Program

Two Summer sessions are offered that are each 4 weeks in length. Students can earn up to 6 credits during each session, and can participate in one or both of the sessions.

During Summer 2016, the dates for the summer sessions are:
Summer Session 1: May 18 - June 17, 2016
Summer Session 2: June 24 - July 27, 2016

Housing

International students live in an apartment complex only a short walk away from campus. The complex is located in a quiet residential area with nearby stores and restaurants. The apartments were built for the 2004 US Olympic team, and they are comfortable and furnished.

Application and Deadline
Applications should be directed to the SUNY Oneonta Office of International Education only. A completed SUNY Overseas Application is due to the OIE by April 15 for Fall or Academic Year study, March 1 for Summer study, and November 1 for Spring study.

Prospective Students

Our Location Founded in 1889 in “Honor and Good Faith,” the College is strategically located in beautiful upstate New York. Oneonta is home to the Foothills Performing Arts Center and just 30 minutes to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
The campus is surrounded by 360 degree mountain views and is close to the Catskill Mountains. Upstate NewYork is a four-season state with mild summers, cool nights, and beautiful spring foliage. Fall is colorful and winters offer plenty of snow, ideal for snowboarding and skiing. The campus is 4.5 hours to New York City (NYC) by bus and 1 hour from Albany, the capital of New York and a major shopping area.
Oneonta has a progressive, local and interstate bus system running 7 days per week with routine stops on campus. DowntownOneonta is walking distance from SUNY and has local shopping, unique gift shops, restaurants, farmer’s markets, and entertainment in this historic city. A nearby shopping mall is a short distance to the campus by bus.
The Albany International Airport is just over 1 hour away—The OIE office provides free airport pickup for new student arrivals. JFK International Airport is also within reach and has an Airtrack/railway/bus system direct to Oneonta.
