My Fashion Career
Fashion is more than just the outfit. It is the way different pieces come together with other garments, the way a person wears it, the accessories that are added and how it makes both the person wearing it and those who see it feel. It’s a complete package.
Fashion begins with inspiration and my inspiration begins with Paris. I had the pleasure of spending some time in Paris. While there I learned a great deal by observing the culture and the fashions; from the simple complexities of the Eiffel Tower, a cultural icon; to the easy elegance with which the people live their lives. This fanned the flame of my desire to create sophisticated and elegant clothes. I look forward to going back to Paris and intend on my career taking me to many inspiring places because in reality fashion uses the full range of a person’s senses. It is completely enveloping, and touches everyone’s life.
Which is why I not only enjoy coming up with the ideas for designs as well as creating them, I like to take the lead on the runway and model my designs. For me, designing the garment and being backstage is half the fun. The other half takes place on the runway. In my career, my dream is to create my designs and then be able to display them on the runway.
Dreams need encouragement and the encouragement I have received to pursue what inspires me has prompted me to seek out ways to do the same for others. My experiences so far have been wonderful examples of my drive to make a positive mark on the world.
Being a designer is as much about expression as it is about assessing the needs of your demographic. Fashion inspires and I pride myself on being able to encourage and inspire others to work at higher levels. It's that inner drive that directs you toward a particular goal, it moves you. I look forward to bringing my passion and strong work ethic to FIT, where I can affect change and inspire others.

ABOUT MY COLLECTION:
Midnight in Paris, is there anything that evokes more romance or mystique? They are designed to be elegant, with that certain Je ne sais quoi for a night out in Paris, for example, dinner and a ride on the Seine. I chose romantic colors such as black, red, and white to depict the romantic city that Paris becomes at night.
