Phi Alpha Theta NY Upper Regional Conference

Call for Papers--Deadline March 3, 2014
The Alpha-Kappa-Iota Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta would like to issue a call for papers for this coming year’s NY Upper Regional Phi Alpha Theta Conference to be held at SUNY Oneonta in Oneonta, New York on Saturday, April 12, 2014. All Phi Alpha Theta members are encouraged to submit paper or panel proposals in any field of history. Prizes will be awarded to the most distinguished papers.
Our keynote speaker will be Meagan Butler, a doctoral candidate in History at the University of Glasgow in Scotland, an accomplished graduate of SUNY Oneonta’s Bachelor’s program in History.
Proposals are due on Monday, March 3, 2014. Each proposal should be no more than one page, single spaced and should include the author’s name, institution, email address, and check for $10 (registration for the conference, which includes a small breakfast and lunch) made out to “OAS/Phi Alpha Theta.”

A conference schedule will be sent out and posted the week of March 17th.

SUNY Oneonta is located in Oneonta, New York, which is situated in the beautiful northern Catskill foothills. We are approximately 75 minutes from Albany, 60 minutes from Binghamton, 2 hours from Poughkeepsie and 2 hours from Syracuse, a few minutes from Exit 15 off of I-88.
