Application Deadlines
Some programs have specific application deadlines.
Please read the application materials for your intended program carefully.
Most programs have a deadline of March 25 for
Fall admission and October 1 for Spring.
Other program process applications on a continuing basis and forward
each to the appropriate graduate admissions committee when it
is complete. The Counselor
Education program deadline occurs only once each year.
Counselor Education applications must be in by March 1 for
Summer or Fall. Those seeking a Certificate of Advance
Study in Counselor Education have a deadline of March 1 for
Summer or Fall admission and October 1 for Spring admission.
Again, it is
imperative that you carefully read the application materials for
your chosen program.
Admissions Decisions
A committee of the department’s graduate faculty
reviews the application submitted by each candidate. Admission
is competitive and not all students who meet the minimum admissions
criteria will be admitted.
Official notification of the Admission Committee’s decision
will be sent by the Director of Graduate Education.
If you are accepted to a graduate degree program but do not plan
to attend, kindly notify the Graduate Office as soon as possible
so that other students may have an opportunity for admission.
