Having completed her B.A. at UCLA and her Ph.D. at Princeton, Dr. Crane joined the Oneonta faculty in 1992. She served as Department Chair from 1999 to 2005. She teaches courses in British Medieval and Renaissance Literature, and early World Literatures. Dr. Crane has published numerous essays, and has edited several volumes of scholarly essays. She is the recipient of two Mellon Foundation grants and is currently studying the representation of scientists and technology in literature.
