Dr. Richard Grimaldi is an Assistant Professor of Meteorology. He received his Ph.D. degree from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. Dr. Grimaldi teaches the theoretical courses, namely Dynamics, Micrometeorology, Physical Meteorology, and Mesometeorology, a new course he proposed and created. Dr. Grimaldi also handles almost all the Introductory Meteorology coursework.
Dr. Grimaldi is actively pursuing an exciting research plan, involving the effect of non-local soil moisture anomalies on northeast Colorado thunderstorm activity. In 2004, he travelled to Colorado with one of his students to initiate that research. |
