We have lots of excellent students who deserve scholarships. There are so many, deciding who gets the scholarships has become difficult. To make it more fair and impartial, we are asking students to fill out a short application form and include a resume. Please fill out the application in Adobe!! Be sure to download the sample resume in Word format. Both documents are needed to be considered for a scholarship.

Q: Do I have to have financial aid to apply for a scholarship?
A: No, you don't. The scholarship money comes from donations made by our alumni. We have generous alumni that like to give students money.
Q: Why should I apply?
A: Um, free money!
Q: Can I apply for more than one?
A: Yes, you can. There is one application for all the scholarships. The attached document is a complete list of the six available scholarships. To determine if you are eligible, read the underlined text of each. You may find that you are eligible for three scholarships. You may apply for all three, but be sure to check off the scholarship or scholarships you applying for.
Q: Where do I get an application?
A: See above. You must filled out the pdf application in Adobe and then print out to submit. The resume is a Word document. You may remove or add bullets as necessary. The resume should be printed out and submitted with the application.
Q: Why do I have to fill out an application?

Q: Do I receive a check?
A: No, you don't. The money will be credited to your student account in fall 2016.
Q: When will I be notified that I received a scholarship?
A: We will announce scholarship awardees at the department picnic in early May.
Q: When is the deadline to submit? Where do I submit my completed application?
A: April 11 by 4:30pm. This is a hard deadline. We need time to process the applications and prepare certificates for the picnic so this date is the latest we can accept applications. You may submit your completed application to Lisa (Room 209), Dr. Fall (Room 213), Dr. Sen (Room 215), or Dr. Brunstad (Room 210). Please do not slide your application under doors.
