The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation's
Environmental Education Summer Camps program is once again sending out
information about summer employment and internship
opportunities. I have attached information
regarding counselor and internships that we hope to have available for
the 2012 summer camp season.
Information is available for Conservation
Education Camp Counselors, Health
Directors,
and Conservation
Education Camp Counselors.
These positions are highly coveted and I would recommend anyone
interested in applying do so early. Those students who have
certifications such as Waterfront Life Guarding, Water Safety
Instructor, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Responding to
Emergencies First Aid or Wilderness First Aid will be given preference
for interviews.
Please review and distribute to those students who are eligible and may
have an interest in applying. The certification requirements
for the Summer Camp Counselors are an important part of the review and
hiring process so potential applicants need to read that part of the
attached description carefully.
These positions are a great opportunity for those who love the out of
doors, love working with teens and pre teens and for those who want to
gain valuable employment experience.
