Blood Drive: Our center holds Blood Drives every month. Our next Blood Drive will take place on September 4th and September 5st in the Hunt Union Ballroom. Sign-ups are available at Mills and Wilsbach dining halls. Click on the calendar for times and dates.

Lords Table
Time: 9-2 pm (pantry) & 4pm-6:15 pm
Location: 18 Elm Street
Description: Volunteers are asked to serve food and also clean up.  Servers will help serve clients and clean dining area and kitchen.

Ninash Foundation
Description: Volunteers are needed to assist with aspects of fund-raising, helping with thank you cards, create donor lists, and office work.

Hearts of Hope
Location: Can Be Done Any Where
Description:  Great for clubs or organizations to participate in. Each ceramic heart kit costs four dollars. You receive each kit and paint them however you desire and then they are sent to a person who is on a waiting list for one.

Robynwood Adult Home Movie Nights
Date: Friday Nights
Time: 6:30pm
Location: 43 Walnut Street
Description: 1-2 volunteers are needed to commit to every week school is in session on Friday nights to watch movies with the elderly.

Robynwood Adult Home Reading
Date: Saturdays
Time: 10am
Location: 43 Walnut Street
Description: 1-5 volunteers are needed to commit to every week school is in session on Saturdays at 10am to read to the residents. (Could be a group but just need at least one person there a week)

Hospice Thrift Store
Time: 10-1pm or 1-4pm
Location: 261 Main Street
Description: Volunteers are needed to help sort and hang clothes and help around the store.
*Semester Long Commitment, 1 or 2 Volunteers needed at a time!!

Salvation Army Thrift Shop
Time: 9-5 Mon & Tues; 9-8 Wed & Thurs; 9-5 Fri & Sat, 2 hours at a time/day
Location: On Main Street, Next to the Bus Store
Description: Volunteers are needed to help out in the store.

Main Street Baptist Church Childcare
Date: Sundays
Time: 9:30am and 10:00am
Location: Main Street Baptist Church
Description: The church has several children’s programs and is frequently looking for volunteers to assist. Every Sunday morning they have classes for children (9:30 and 10:00) and need the extra assistance. ***Must fill out an application***

NECHAMA Sandy Recovery Program
Date: Until April 2014
Description: Over the next twelve to fourteen months, NECHAMA will be assisting homeowners as they rebuild, installing subfloors, insulation and Sheetrock, painting, and doing other finish work. Nechama is now accepting volunteer reservations from individuals and groups interested in helping our Hurricane Sandy Recovery Program in New York. For more information please visit www.NECHAMA.org

Occupy Together Otsego: a local activist group

YMCA Maintenance
Description: Need volunteers to help with the maintenance department at the Y. Some can do days and other can do evenings.

VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance)
Date: Spring 2014 Jan 28th-April 15th
Time: 10+ hours throughout the semester
Description: Receive training from IRS to help prepare tax return. Preferably Accounting and/or Business Economics majors. There is an online training through the IRS  that you must complete. *Come to the CSRC for more information*

Big Buddy Programs
Location: Can be anywhere
Description: Volunteers are paired up with a little buddy. You must meet with your little buddy at least 4-8 hours a month. The students are 5-14 years old.
**Car is preferred but you don’t have to have one

Saturday’s Bread
Date: Saturday’s throughout the school year
Time: 9am-2pm
Location: First United Methodist Church on Chestnut Street
Description:  Volunteers are asked to help with set-up, food preparation, and clean-up.  Volunteer your time individually or go with a group of friends.
*Five people are needed per Saturday. Slots fill up fast, so don’t wait!!

CME Intern
Time: 6-10 hours per week
Location: CME Lee Hall
Description:         Volunteer is needed to assist in classroom workshops, planning programs around diversity and inclusion, organizing supplies for workshops, data collection, and basic office skills. Experience using Photoshop, Facebook, and other social media for marketing purposes are required. Experience with Excel and Microsoft office suite.*Come to the CSRC for more information*

OWL (Oneonta World of Learning)
Mondays:9-12pm; Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Saturdays: 9-2pm; Sundays: 12-4pm. At least 2 hours per day.
Description: Volunteers are needed to supervise kids from ages 0-12 with educational-based activities. **If you’re interested come to the CSRC to get more information and sign-up. Semester long commitment**

Office of Alumni Affairs (Clerical Work)
Date: Throughout the semester
Description: The Office of Alumni Affairs is looking for volunteers to assist in the following areas:
•Clerical Work-filing, answering phones, etc.
•Database projects-students would be assigned to work on semester long projects
•Staffing events-we rely on volunteers for many of our large events in order for them to run smoothly
Office hours at Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm and events are often in the evenings or on weekends.  Hours are flexible but for database projects we would need a minimum of a semester long commitment during office hours. 
Volunteers must be able to conduct themselves professionally while working in the Office of Alumni Affairs.  Familiarity with computers (Word, Outlook etc.) required.  Experience with Excel and Database management a plus.
There are many opportunities to assist our office.

Robotics Team
Date: Throughout the semester
Description: We are looking for volunteers, who would be willing and interested in giving a few hours of their time mentoring high school age students for a few hours on topics/skills such as basic principles of physics, designing with graphics tools such as autodesk inventor or 3d max, leadership, etc.

ESL Tutor
Date: Throughout the semester
Location: Various Places
Description: Volunteers needed to tutor ESL students. *If interested please come to the CSRC Office to sign up*

Oneonta Moms Group Cricket School
Time: 9:45am-11:30am
Date: Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month according to school schedule
Location: Main Street Baptist Church
Description:  Volunteers would be in a class with a lead volunteer while moms are at in a meeting. The classes are nursery, ones, twos, threes, and 4-5 year olds. They would be facilitating age appropriate play, arts/crafts, and just helping supervise and engage the kids as they play, sing, and learn. *If interested please stop by the CSRC for more info and an application*

Homework Help
Date: Mondays and Wednesdays
Time: 3:30pm-5pm
Location: Lantern Hill trailer park
Description: We need volunteers who would be willing to help the children that live there with homework.  Their curriculum recently changed and they have a lot more work! *Great for education majors or anyone interested in volunteering*

YMCA Tutor
Location: YMCA
Description: Volunteers are needed to tutor for global studies, world history, and science.

YMCA Gymnastics
Location: YMCA on Ford Ave.
Description: Do you love working with children and watching gymnastics? Combine the two as a volunteer in the gymnastics program. We need gymnastics assistants, gymnastic coaches, dance teachers, cheer instructors, and public relations.
