Refund & Cancellation Policy


Refund Policy

The non-credit courses offered through the Office of Continuing Education are all self-supporting. Therefore, we rely on registration fees to pay the instructors as well as any supplies or equipment needed for the course.  Accordingly, we will be happy to issue a full refund up to five business days prior to the starting date of the class or the advertised registration deadline.  These requests can be made directly to the Office of Continuing Education, 607-436-2548.


If the college cancels any course for any reason, those pre-registered for that course will be notified by email (provided that an email address is provided), and payments will be refunded by check.  SUNY Oneonta reserves the right to substitute instructors, adjust pricing, and/or reschedule classrooms if necessary. In the event of severe weather it may be necessary to cancel or reschedule particular course sessions. If for-credit classes are cancelled, non-credit courses will also be cancelled for that date.  Announcements of emergency cancellations will be made on WSRK-FM radio and by email.
