Information
and Policies for
Non-Degree Graduate (NDG)
Students
All non-degree students must be accepted for admission through the Continuing Education Office. In order to be eligible to take courses as a non-degree graduate at the College at Oneonta, a student must have graduated with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Students must submit an admission
application, available at this link or in the Continuing Education Office, Netzer Administration Building,
Room 135. (Directions
to campus)
Application deadline is the Friday of the first week of classes for any semester.
Applications must be submitted to
the Continuing Education Office, accompanied by official transcripts from all post
secondary institutions attended.
Admission as a non-degree
graduate student does not guarantee:
- future admission to a
degree program.
- availability of courses at the time of
registration.
Policies:
Non-degree graduate students register for courses the day before classes start.
Most graduate programs at SUNY Oneonta do not allow open enrollment into graduate courses. This means you will need to receive approval to take graduate courses from the department.
Non-degree students are required to
maintain a 3.0 grade point average in graduate level courses to be eligible to continue
enrollment.
