Continuing Education at SUNY College at Oneonta provides opportunities for traditional and non-traditional non-degree students. The non-degree admission status allows learners to enroll in courses with out seeking a degree at the College.

Continuing Education Students are classified into four groups:

  • Pre-Matriculated- those planning on enrolling into a degree program at Oneonta.
  • Life Long Learners- those wishing to take courses for personal or professional enrichment but have no intention of ever seeking a degree at Oneonta.
  • Visiting Students -those enrolled in a degree program at another institution but wish to take courses here to transfer back to their home institution.
  • Pre-Collegiate- those currently enrolled in high school who wish to take college level coursework.

All students regardless of classification, need to fill out a non-degree application.

The application deadline is the Friday of the first week of classes for any semester.

All Continuing Education students are bound by the rules, policies, and regulations of the College at Oneonta.
