Writing Courses:
COMP 090 - Individualized Writing Instruction - You can sign up for this zero-credit writing mini-course if you need help with basic skills for the College Writing Exam, long-term help with a research project, or general writing processes assistance. To sign up for this course, you must enter a request in Tracktion, our online scheduling service. Go to https://tracktion.oneonta.edu and click "I Need a Tutor." Fill in all the required information and request COMP 090.
COMP 095 - Introduction to College Writing - Students take this writing course to prepare for COMP 100. Topics covered are writing processes and essential grammatical and mechanical rules.
Writing Tutoring:
Writing under Pressure - This one-hour workshop is designed to help students understand the basics needed to do well on timed or high-stakes writing assignments. This workshop is especially helpful for CWE preparation or for those who take essay exams. This workshop can also help those who want to get an idea of the general principles that can help them with writing for their courses. Sign up for this workshop at https://tracktion.oneonta.edu.
Course Paper - If you have a writing assignment for a course for which you would like some help, the Writing Center is the place to go! To sign up for a one-time appointment to see a professional staff member, you must enter a request in Tracktion, our online scheduling service. College Writing Exam - If you have received a notice saying that you did not pass the CWE and that you should come in to meet with a CADE staff member, please consider taking the "Writing under Pressure" workshop first.
