SPRING 2013 DROP-IN TUTORING
What is it?
This type of tutoring is being made available in PLACE of appointment-based tutoring for the courses for which we get the most requests. At least one tutor is available during drop-in tutoring hours as listed below.
How Does it Work?
Students may stop by anytime during the drop-in hours. We strongly recommend that you give yourself at least 1/2 hour to work with a tutor. Please realize that if you get there late and a lot of people got there ahead of you, you may not get the attention you need. Peer tutors will be on hand to work with you and answer your questions. You will be encouraged to work in a group of students who are taking the same class, so you can expect to work cooperatively with other students in addition to getting help from the tutor.
Drop-in tutoring works best when you come regularly instead of just before a test.
No appointment-based tutoring for these courses will be available: CHEM 100-level, CHEM 200-level, PHYS 100-level, PHYS 200-level, MATH 173, MATH 174, MATH 205, STAT 101, BIOL 100, BIOL 180, BIOL 181, BIOL 205, BIOL 206.
