Study Resources

CADE's Learning Center offers a range of courses to aid students with study strategies. Take a look at our course listing under the "Courses" category of this website.

In this Study Resources section of the CADE website, you will find a variety of resources, both links and materials created here at SUNY Oneonta, to help you find strategies that work for you.

Avoiding Plagiarism

Plagiarism is a very serious issue affecting college students. Many students do not understand the rules for properly citing information they are trying to discuss in their college papers. First, you should familiarize yourself with The College at Oneonta's policies on Academic Honesty. Then, take the time to familiarize yourself with the rules for properly citing sources.

Computer Literacy

You've probably realized you need some basic computer skills to function as a college student. We have a terrific program at SUNY Oneonta for helping you with essential computer skills. Check out Technology Instruction Program for Students (TIPS).

Here are some other neat resources:

English as a Second Language Resources

  • Randall's ESL Cyber Listening Lab This is a neat site, but you do need a sound card and speakers on your computer to use it, which, unfortunately, we don't have available in the CADE computer lab.  Try this in one of the labs that has headphones.
  • University of Victoria Study Zone
