Mollie Goodwin is a second year graduate student working on her Masters in Biology. She grew up just outside Oneonta in the small town of Morris, NY. As an undergraduate at SUNY Oneonta she took on an independent study project which has grown in to a graduate thesis project. The focus of her research is on the native northeastern carpenter bee, Xylocopa virginica, for which she is doing a population sustainability study delving into questions concerning genetic variation and phylogeography.
