Internship Information for Undergraduate Students

Summer Internship in Field Biology and
Environmental Monitoring

Undergraduate internships are open to individuals enrolled in an undergraduate program of study at the time of application. The number of positions available varies from year to year based on faculty involvement and funding; 6-10 students are selected to participate in this summer program.

Application Procedure:
In order to be considered for an internship position, the BFS must receive a completed application package by 5:00pm on Friday, March 10th 2017.  Late applications may be considered in the case that specific positions remain unfilled; contact the BFS with inquiries.

A complete application package consists of the following 3 items:
(click below to download the MS Word Files)

Application Form: to be completed by the applicant
2 Recommendation Forms: to be completed by 2 different individuals who will provide insight into the applicant's character and abilities.

It is the applicant’s responsibility to see that 2 different individuals each submit a completed recommendation form. Recommendation forms are to be submitted directly by the referees. It is important that applicants understand that their applications will not be considered complete unless both of their referees have completed and sent recommendation forms.

Completed forms can be submitted by email or US Mail

E-mail Submissions should be sent to Nancy Devins: Nancy.Devins@oneonta.edu

Hard-Copy submissions should be mailed to:
