Community Contacts

The Biological Field Station serves the community as well as the State University College at Oneonta.  In addition to providing research opportunities for students, faculty, and visiting researchers, we also offer advanced training for science teachers, and programs for school children.  Seminars, workshops, field trips, and data are provided for the general public.  Public concern over the protection of Otsego Lake and the upper Susquehanna River has resulted in support for faculty and student research by local, state, and federal institutions.  Integration of our involvement in teaching, research, and public service is central to our mission.
