McGrail returned to her alma mater as head coach in 2007. She is certainly no stranger to Oneonta, having played four years for the Red Dragons where she left an indelible mark on the program’s history. As the Oneonta State all-time top scorer for both men’s and women’s soccer, she set the bar high for those who have come after her while helping Oneonta become a perennial national contender. |
As a three-sport athlete, McGrail garnered numerous individual accolades culminating in being the first women’s soccer player to be selected as a first team All-American. She finished her soccer career at Oneonta with 137 points and is the only women’s player in the SUNYAC to earn conference MVP honors three times. She was a four-time All-SUNYAC selection and a three-time All-State and All-Region player while leading Oneonta to three conference championships. |

She capped her playing career at Oneonta in the fall of 2001 when she was named the SUNYAC Player of the Year and a third team National All-American.
