Welcome to SUNY Oneonta Wrestling - "Building Excellence on-and-off the Mat"
Home of the 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009 NCAA Division III NWCA Scholar All-American wrestling teams (finishing 6th, 13th, 14th, 15th & 16th nationally for Scholar team GPA’s respectively). The wrestling program has a very strong tradition of excellence competing as a varsity sport at the college for 50 years. The program has enjoyed great recent success finishing 14th, 24th, and 26th nationally as a team at the NCAA National Championships respectively in 2005, 2007, & 2008. The wrestling program prides itself on a commitment to individual, and team excellence with personal well-being and Academic Achievement as the primary goal.
Located at the foot hills of the beautiful Catskill Mountain range and nicknamed "The City of Hills" our campus offers some excellent views. SUNY College at Oneonta currently holds a ranking of 45th (10th among Public Institutions) in the top tier among “Universities Master’s—North” in the 2010 rankings of “America’s Best Colleges” by U.S. News and World Report, and also ranks among Kiplinger's and Cosmos top Universities.
