Head Coach - Jessica Pausewang

Pausewang will enter her third season with the women’s lacrosse program, last year the team finished with a respectable 10-6 record finishing third in SUNYACS.

Pausewang arrived in Oneonta in the spring of 2008 after living in England coaching and playing lacrosse. While she is coaching the Red Dragons she will continue to serve as the head coach of the Finland women’s national team. The Finnish women finished 7th place in the European Lacrosse Championships in Lahti Finland in the summer of 2008 and will be competing in the next European Championships.

In England, Pausewang coached lacrosse for two years at Rendcomb College. She also coached the Developmental team, University College of London, and other various schools with the English Lacrosse Association.

She played and coached for the Hitchin Lacrosse Club in England from 2006 to 2007 and also played and coached for the Cheltenham Lacrosse Club in England prior to returning to the United States.

A familiar face in SUNYAC women’s lacrosse, Pausewang is a 2006 graduate of SUNY Geneseo where she played four years of lacrosse for the Blue Knights. As a goalie for the Blue Knights, Pausewang ranks second in career saves with 629, including a season-high 180 saves in 2004. She received various accolades in college for her lacrosse performance and is the most decorated goalie in Geneseo history. Also a field hockey player at Geneseo, Pausewang was a two sport college athlete.

A native of Long Island, NY, Pausewang is a Level 2 certified international lacrosse and field hockey coach. She is also an international qualified lacrosse referee.

Assistant Coach: Heather Davis

Davis is in her second season as an assistant with the women's lacrosse team and is also an assistant with the field hockey team.

Davis is in charge of the conditioning program for the women’s lacrosse team.

Davis is a 2008 graduate of Colgate University where she earned a degree in history with a minor in education. While at Colgate Davis was a member of the Raiders Field Hockey team and served as a team captain as a junior and senior. As a senior in 2007, Davis earned first team All-Patriot league honors and was also named to the NFHCA Div. I Mideast Region second team.

 

Assistant Coach: Caitlin Mack

Mack is in her second season as an assistant with the women's lacrosse team. Mack is a native of Homer, NY and is a 2008 graduate of Oneonta where she earned a degree in education. Mack has been improving the defensive unit every year. Mack also serves as the first assistant coach for the Finland Women's National Team.
