Pausewang will enter her first season with the women’s lacrosse program in 2008. She will inherit a team with strong senior leadership that hopes to contend for the SUNYAC championship.
Pausewang comes to Oneonta after having spent the past year and half in England coaching and playing. While she is coaching the Red Dragons she will continue to serve as the head coach of the Finland women’s national team as they prepare to compete in the European Championships this summer.

In England, Pausewang coached lacrosse for two years at Rendcomb College. She also coached for Gloucestershire county lacrosse and University College of London.
She played for the Hitchin Lacrosse Club in England from 2006 to 2007 and was currently playing for the Cheltenham Lacrosse Club in England prior to returning to the United States.
A familiar face in SUNYAC women’s lacrosse, Pausewang is a 2006 graduate of SUNY Geneseo where she played four years of lacrosse for the Blue Knights. As a goalie for the Blue Knights, Pausewang ranks second in career saves with 629, including a season-high 180 saves in 2004. She earned All-SUNYAC honors in 2004, 2005 and 2006 as well as All-ECAC honors in 2004.
A native of Patchogue, NY, Pausewang is a Level 2 certified international lacrosse and field hockey coach. She is also an international qualified lacrosse referee. |
