CAMP PHILOSOPHY: The Oneonta State General Skills Volleyball Camp is designed to develop and fine tune the correct fundamentals of setting, passing, serving, hitting and defensive play. While we hope to “push” you to perform at your optimal level, we also understand the importance of having fun while playing this game. Through competitive games and exercises, along with one-on-one instruction from camp counselors; we hope that each camper will walk away instilled with a new love for the game.

EQUIPMENT: Each camper is required to provide plenty of their own attire: T-shirts, shorts or span-dex, sneakers, water bottle and knee pads. Please also bring towels, personal toiletries, casual clothes and spending money.

HOUSING & MEALS: Resident campers will reside and eat in on-campus residence halls with qualified counselors. You MUST supply your own linens. Commuters will be provided lunch and dinner in the dining hall.

FACILITIES: Our camp will be held in both the Alumni Field House, and Chase Gym.

SECURITY: 24-hour adult supervision will be provided by the Oneonta State Volleyball team, as well as an on-site certified athletic trainer, certified lifeguard and 24-hour campus security.

INSURANCE: Campers must have a signed medical release form and insurance to participate. Forms can be found online at: www.oneonta.edu/academics/athletics/volleyball

COST: Resident $390, Commuter $250
Groups of 6 or more from the same High School may deduct $10 from the full price of the camp for each applicant.
*A $50 deposit is required with your camp application. If submitting online, checks payable to 'Oneonta State Athletics' may be sent to the address on the bottom of this page. Please indicate campers name on memo line of check.

CAMP COACHES:
Colleen Cashman - Head Coach/Director; voted 2000 and 2002 SUNYAC Coach of the Year and 2006 NYSWCAA Coach of the year. Cashman has led her team to 7 post-season Conference Championship berths and 8 New York State Championship tournaments. In 2002 the Red Dragons succeeded in winning their first Conference Championship in school history, also securing their first NCAA Tournament appearance. A former Regional All-American player from Binghamton University, Cashman will begin her eleventh season at Oneonta State in 2009.

Sue Edwards - Currently in her 9th year of assisting One-onta State Volleyball, Edwards continues to offer her experience in the areas of passing and defensive strategies. A graduate of Cortland State, Edwards is currently the Varsity Volleyball Coach at Chenango Valley High School in Binghamton.

Jill Meehan - A 2006 graduate of Oneonta State College, Meehan will begin her second season as Assistant Coach this fall. A four year starter , Meehan was a standout player for the women’s volleyball team earning AVCA Regional All-American honors in 2004. She owns the team record for single season attacks at 448, is second in career kills with 1309, second in career blocks with 430, fourth in career matches played with 152 and second in games played with 531. Meehan currently teaches at the Oneonta High School and is the Junior Varsity Volleyball coach.
EddingerEddinger

Maegen Eddinger - A 2007 graduate of Oneonta State College, Eddinger will also begin her second season as Assistant Coach this fall. Named 2006 NYSWCAA Defensive Player of the Year, Eddinger led her team to only their third ECAC Championship berth in program history. She is second on the team in single season digs (694); digs per game (5.78) and single match digs (47). Eddinger currently works at the Oneonta Holiday Inn as the Assistant Sales Director.
