Schuler-Ghiorse enters her 11th season as the head coach for both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams. During her tenure she has continued to build the program through the recruiting process while increasing the number of participants. Last year she had her first SUNYAC champion in men’s swimming when sophomore Peter Millspaugh won the 200-yard backstroke. |
Year. Schuler-Ghiorse's prior success came at Potsdam High School where from 1993 to 1995 she established a women's swimming & diving team that, in four short years, became the Section 10 champions. Schuler-Ghiorse came to Oneonta after completing her master's degree in sport psychology in 1997 from Springfield (MA) College. While at Springfield she spent a season as an assistant coach at Elms College. Her experience at Elms, along with a two-year stint as an assistant at her Alma Mater, Clarkson University, she has proven experience in recruiting and coaching the Division III student-athlete. |
