Thursday, 5 March 2015—Depart NYC, afternoon or evening.

Friday, 6 March 2015 – Arrive Accra. Check-in Miklyn Hotel, E. Legon.Orientation to Accra.

Saturday, 7 March 2015 – Morn lecture by Mr. Ansah, CEO-TV Africa, tour/short film showing; 
Mokola Market, “urban drop-off” experience;  then walking tour of old Accra/Jamestown-Bukom, Lighthouse, Evening: Azonto lessons with Kweku.

Sunday, 8 March 2015 – Travel to Kumasi via Koforidua & Kwabeng where we have a reception with Kwabeng Council of Elders, Check-in Park Towers Hotel, next to KNUST. Debriefing.

Monday, 9 March 2015 -- 8:30-11:30 : Lecture & performance from Dr. Amponsah  (Agya Koo Nimo) & Addadam Agofomma dance troup. Box lunch, Travel to Cape Coast afternoon & check-in Sasakawa Annex, University  of Cape Coast.

Tuesday, 10 March 2015 – Morning lecture on Slave trade: Impact, resistance & memories by Dr. Opoku-Agyemang, UCC. Afternoon visit to Cape Coast Castle. Dinner Sasakawa. Naming ceremony with Mr. Mensah & drumming @ Elmina Beach.

Wednesday, 11 March 2015 – Morning lecture on economic and ecological sustainability Dr. Kofi Sam, followed by field visit to Essaman village, site of women’s palm oil production. Afternoon: we visit Elmina Castle, followed by walking tour of Elmina town.

Thursday, 12 March 2015 – individualized field study and student conducted interviews: UCC primary & Jr. secondary schools, road market, sustainability projects, castle staff interviews. Kakum Forest visit.

Friday, 13 March 2015 – Return early to Accra. Visit to Ghanaian Parliament. Debriefing in the evening.

Saturday 14 March 2015 – Morn:  Dr. Oduro-Frimpong lecture on Ghana’s video industry.W.E.B. Dubois Center. Labadi Beach. Individual projects continue.

Sunday 15 March 2015 – Church or Aburi Gardens visit. Tetteh Quarshie Craft Market Visit. Eve Departure/Airport.
