Yaser RoblesDr. Yaser Robles, Lecturer in Latino Studies 2013-2014, is a Honduran native who as a small child moved to the South Bronx where he grew up.  His commitment to cultural understanding and community service has taken him to different parts of the world including South Africa, Israel, Peru, Brazil, Mexico and Cuba.  He has taught at SUNY Albany and Bronx Community College (CUNY).  He holds a B.A. from Brandeis University in Political Science & Latin American Studies, a M.A. from SUNY Buffalo in Caribbean Cultural Studies, and he recently completed a Ph.D. in Latin American, Caribbean, and U.S. Latino Studies at U Albany (SUNY). Yaser's research focuses on resistance to injustice in Latin American and Latino communities.  Ph: 607-436-3452. Email:
