 Dr. R. Neville Choonoo, Professor of African and African American literature, is a member of the Africana and Latino Studies Department and the English department. He holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University and is interested in autobiographical writing of African Americans and Black South Africans. He has taught courses in these areas on this campus for over twenty years. South African by birth, he has traveled widely and has taught African literature at the University of Durban-Westville, South Africa.
