Brian Madden has been a news and sports announcer/anchor/correspondent for nearly half a century, having covered the Olympics for ABC Radio Network Sports, the World Series for Channel 5 in New York, and NBA, NHL, and NFL games. He was the first TV Voice of the Indiana Pacers, and he broadcast Indiana University basketball games. As a free-lancer with CNN, UPITV, WPIX-TV and others, he was a general assignment reporter covering politics, the economy, and anything else that was happening. He was an anchor for WCBS, and WINS all-news radio stations in New York City. His specialty was extensive coverage and reporting about his passion, Jazz and its great musicians. His college teaching began in 1999 at Marist in Poughkeepsie, New York until 2003 when SUNY Oneonta called. He continues to narrate and write documentaries and corporate videos. In 2007, he sat in at a White House Daily Briefing, videotaping, editing, reporting, and writing about the experience for his students.
