Other Information:

Joshua is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV).  He successfully completed 2 years of ambassadorial and sustainable agriculture work in Honduras between the years 1997-1999. 

He raves about his experience in the US Peace Corps, especiallysince this is where he met the love of his life, Christiana.  Joshua grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and Christiana grew up in San Diego, California. 

Now Christiana and Joshua and their two sons, Finn and Arthur, live, work, and play around the Catskill Mountains in Oneonta, New York.

Professional Interests:

  • My primary research interests revolve around the production and consumption of persuasive messages, especially of an environmental and political nature. 
  • My secondary research interests pertain to leadership communication strategies in organizational and social movement settings.

Communication Studies

introduces students to the theories and practices of oral communication and persuasion. Students in this major usually seek careers in business related fields, as well as corporate communication, advertising, sales, public relations, and events management.

 

Mass Communication

is designed to meet the needs of students who seek careers in the fields of broadcasting, journalism, film, audio production and video production.
