Faculty at Oneonta have always been concerned with what information students have acquired as well as what they have learned to do and to value. In today’s higher education arena, this concern is often referred to as ‘academic assessment’ or the ‘assessment of student learning.’
This website has been designed to provide the Faculty with information and pertinent resources useful in their efforts to assess and report their assessment of the College’s academic programs, which includes assessing what students have learned. This site is intended to serve as a gateway to information and resources specific to Oneonta as well as others promulgated by the American Association of Higher Education (AAHE), the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSA), the College’s Regional Accreditor, SUNY System Administration, and specialized accreditors such as NCATE and AACSB.
This website was jointly developed by the College’s Academic Program Assessment Committee (APAC) and the Teaching Learning and Technology Center (TLTC).
